Title: Fuchs, options, puzzled Post by: Mangokid revival on June 14, 2020, 19:09:14 pm I just bought a set of 6"/15" 1978 Fuchs wheels, but I don't have a plan.
So, I got a 61 and a 67 Cal-looker, a 62 gasser project and a 73 daily. What are my options if I want to use the Fuchs on a late 70's kind of looker? Back then, did they just drill, or rebuild the whole braking system with Porsche discs etc.? The Goss chop top for example. What's behind the rims? I'm leaning towards using them on my 73, but the white 61 would also be a good option. The 67 got original 8 spokes, so I think I'll keep that one as is for now. It's my car, I do what I want, sure, but some period shots, and stories would be very inspiring. I always forget those late 356s went to the 5x130 PCD, it certainly makes more sense than having them stay wide-5 alongside the 911s. I had repro Type 3 hub break on me during hard cornering. I had them for quite a few years now, more than 10 years. No problem. They are really thick. CSP usually sells good stuff. ;) |
