Title: Transmission Fluid for plated type LSD Post by: pupjoint on March 02, 2021, 13:16:02 pm those running ZF LSDs with clutch plates or the GT LSD, what oil do you all run?
for my non LSD boxes i have been running this for 6-7 years now, switching over from Redline GL-5. According to Redline, their recommendation for a VW Type 1 transaxle is this one, the MT90 (for non LSD boxes). http://s7d4.scene7.com/is/image/Turn5/386441?$enlarged810x608$ Title: Re: Transmission Fluid for plated type LSD Post by: pupjoint on March 02, 2021, 17:26:01 pm the Motul Gear 300 worked good for me, smooth/slick. reason i used it is more due to convenience - my 2002 Subaru Sti with gear type LSD uses the same oil, so i just figured its easier to stick to the same brand i can buy in bulk
the other issue is i can not get most of the oils recommended by the guys in the USA apart from Redline in my part of the world. |
