My 40 dcnf 12's have the 11 pump cam, witch is the most aggressive with 57° of duration. Primarily used on the ferraris they came from when I bought them. I read somewhere that "smaller" engines benefit from the 10 or even the smaller ones. Not sure what would be best? For now they are going on a rather mild 1641, but eventually will feed a 78x88 or 92 fk8 street engine.. Thanks. Good topic thanks Glauco! my pleasure :) I did all the gene berg mods and then some more. And I have a realy cool set of Deano Dyno-soars intake manifolds to go with them, but with the pump cam I have now there is no way you could get them set up right. lets hope we can get some good info on here.. :) I know nicolas' dcnf's have the #8 cam and he got some good results with that.. I wouldn't think you'd notice a difference if it pumps 1 hundredth of a second and a milligram of fuel more or less The fact that such things were changed and believed in was before the broadband lambda was invented That they were doing such things was when they lost the vaccum signal and compensated with fuel If you are going to work with such things, you must have a log that measures throttle angle and vacuum But these things can be compensated for with ignition (123 ing) which you can program with the computer and in the dyno |
