Title: DRLA vs IDF - linkage differences Post by: JezWest on September 19, 2023, 22:55:42 pm I currently have a hex bar linkage for my DRLAs (this is a Type 1 motor with standard doghouse cooling) and I am thinking about swapping to a CSP bellcrank linkage. They advertise one for IDFs - when I asked if it would fit DRLAs, they said it would not. I have no reason to doubt this.
So what's the difference between the two carbs in terms of how the linkages work? I've compared pictures but I can't quite understand the difference. Would it be possible to take a bellcrank linkage for IDFs and modify it to fit DRLAs? Would it be sensible?! Many of have have that IDF kit and use it with DRLAs, both the IDF and DRLA are designed to be interchangeable. Possibly somehow the comparison was accidentally IDA to DRLA, not sure.

Don t know which one, but on one there a bit more sloppy then the other. Title: Re: DRLA vs IDF - linkage differences Post by: JezWest on September 25, 2023, 21:15:14 pm Thanks for your thoughts. I think I'll pick one up and go from there.
