Title: Accusump
Post by: Harry/FDK on November 24, 2007, 20:01:14 pm
I'm planning to install an Accusump (Canton Racing) in my oilsystem for T4 engine in my Karmann Ghia Project. Have You racers already done it ? Pics? Installation Tips? Max. Length of Oil Hoses ? etc. Thanks !!

Nobody seems to care about "a low oilpressure"moment?

Hi Harry, i love the concept of the accusump, although I have only heard the name “Accumulator” before. I plan to fit one to my looker when the time comes. We are fitting this one to my friend’s car:http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=MOR%2D23900&N=700+4294925232+115&autoview=sku

Thanks Jon, i bought mine years ago for the Ghia, but this thing is large. The Body is 12" long. With the gauge and solenoid mounted, this will add another 6 inches. If i would mount it behind the Ghia's firewall it would stay cool,(but a pain to charge with air). My concern is the lenght of the oilhose to the t-fitting near the inlet side on the engine.  Any thoughts about this ?
Thanks.

(Canton Racing calls it the Accusump, Moroso, i think, calls it the Accumulator)
