Title: Re: Baby blue ida48 velocity stack covers Post by: dth on December 07, 2024, 21:18:04 pm I looked into getting some made , its not cheap as you need to pay for the moulds first , then the material used has to be right , alot of rubber materials wont deal with the fuel/oil , then you need to get the colour correct as if
you dont then your aswell just buying any old set of red or black ones :) Title: Re: Baby blue ida48 velocity stack covers Post by: Vdubchef on December 09, 2024, 20:11:09 pm Found a pair of Berg big stack covers today. Still need the standard size ones.

I contacted the manufacturer of the velocity stack covers made for Gene Berg Enterprise. With the current State of California Environment Waste Standards (alone), for the scrap that would be left over from a manufacturing run, Would be cost prohibitive. The 55 gallon barrel (minimum order) of the custom color plastic beads is astronomical. The reasons red & black are available, they are not custom colors. And the scrap plastics can be re-used in other (standard) black or red plastic objects. I was more then willing to spend the money, (I thought), to spend the money to have a 55 gallon barrel of custom colored plastic beads to be made. Keep a few pairs for myself, and sell the rest ... till I got the quote. The environmental put it out of reach, unless you intend to do multiple 55 gallon barrels made.
