Title: camshaft for typ 4 engine
Post by: JIMP on November 24, 2025, 09:19:00 am
Hello have a wilibald? 914 engine, which will be converted to 2056cc and want to push it to about 125-130HP, the question is, which cam, readily available from the known suppliers, do you think that can do the job? as I'm not familiar with typ 4 cams, which works and which not, I will use typ1 lifters and bushes in the block, thanks for looking

Goodmorning,
Webcam 86a or 86b, Schleicher 316 are the one I had with those figures.

Novak on here also sells type 4 cams that are good. He can advise you.

But if you have balanced engine, with at least 42x36 valves in nice heads, 40mm carbs, a lot off cams will do the job.
