We were very much influenced by DKP, but with far lower budgets and not taking thingsseriously at all, hence the grin on the eagles face! Was in HAB from 1995 until it sort of folded when one of the main guys died.

I am one of the founding members of this club though we have no dues, officers, etc. I guess I am still sorta a member. However, recently the club has changed/merged with another club and is looking to start accepting water cooled vdubs. I still attend some of the meetings but not sure I really consider myself a member of this new group. We have been around since January of 1990 and twice were the host club for the VW Classic. For many years we were the host club for the Phoenix Bug-O-Rama promoted by Rick Mortensen. We also host The Copperstate our own show in Phoenix each year.

A few members from this club startet this new club for a hot VW engine "Kopenhagen Door Pullers"...,.one member of the club took second best in the Karmann Ghia at the first EBI this year... We have no board, no chairman, no rules, no incrasing the club over it's limit, but we have lot's of fun!!!! We have 10 members and almost everybody has more than 1 car. Some of us have more than 8 aircooled volkswagens.

Hope this works... not an exclusively cal look club but we have a couple of 12 second qtr cars and many sub 15 second qtr cars - plus lots slower too! We're based in Staffordshire in England and are all about having fun with old dubs... Cool!
