Title: Wendys 60 Bug Post by: luftkafer on December 16, 2007, 03:01:40 am A good base for our Callook project
Title: Re: Wendys 60 Bug Post by: luftkafer on December 18, 2007, 17:45:20 pm We plan on painting the 60 gloss black. We already have a Scat 78MM crank (U.S. casting) and Erco wheels. First thing on the list is the dechroming. I even plan on filling in the trim holes on the dash. Since it's a 60 there is no gas gauge to worry about!
Has anyone run disc brakes on Ercos? Which ones fit? Erich and Wendy Title: Re: Wendys 60 Bug Post by: beetletom on December 18, 2007, 17:49:08 pm do i spy a panama beige 65? 8) 8) 8)

That is my Father in Laws 65 Bug. It goes to the upholstery shop next week for a headliner and carpet. It's a nice car. Original metal and it's even 6 volt. The '60 looks spot on, and the plans sound great! I think Ercos will fit on disc brakes if you use the flat ones, not the "pie pan" / "bubble" ones - I'm sure I've read a bit about them on here. Otherwise, do a search either here or on the samba for what brakes do fit the zero offset ones. I'm sure theres some! Title: Re: Wendys 60 Bug Post by: beetletom on December 19, 2007, 14:29:23 pm very cool!!

Lucky, Lucky, Erich Neil, Do you know any people from the 90's VW scene? I need some info. Title: Re: Wendys 60 Bug Post by: Neil Davies on December 19, 2007, 18:39:58 pm Ask away dude, see if I know anyone! I'm in the UK, so I'm more likely to know people here that overseas, but I've got a pretty good memory! ;D
(BTW, you should put the Erco's and IDAs in the '48, it's practically a factory Cal Looker! ;) :D |
