Title: Body modifications Post by: rebel on September 11, 2006, 18:15:06 pm Hi, guys.
As we all know the DKP rules 'bout car able to join the club are kind of unbeakable standard for california look volkswagens. The rules say; 'Modifications: With the exception of of top-chops, dechroming, one-piece windows and dash alternatives (none of these being mandatory), body modifications are not allowed' I've seen a bug, that (I think) is cal-look inspired and it has a removable almost the whole rear end part of the body, to have a better access to the engine without the need of takin it off the car each time a major tune-up is beeing held. Moreover the modification is barely noticeble, when the car is complete. What do upu think 'bout that? Is it a no-no for a cal-look car or a smart mod that makes life easier? Modifications like this can be made quite "invisible"-so it needs to take a very close look to recognize that the car has a completely removable back e.g....Should be made without destroying the original shape of a bug-personally I think itīs OK-but not including a flip front-that is more racing than Cal Look imho.
