how big crank Catchtank do i need for an 2779 oxy boxer? is there any law for that in drag racing?

I have a 1 litre box and 19 mm hoses (3/4") on my 2789 and I haven't had any problems with overflow. You need a big breather filter though, my K&N is too small. I think my filter is K&N part #62-1420, but use as big as you can or even dual. A high revving big block breathes a lot!

UK legal  minimum is 1/2 litre,but bigger the better,

I remember someone telling me years ago that a rough rule of thumb is to use around half the engine capacity - allows for plenty of air movement. So on a 2779 you'd be looking at about at least a 1 litre tank but preferably closer to 1.4 litres. And as Roman said, breathing is important. Have each breather entering the tank independantly - T-pieces can create vacuums and not allow air to move.
