cool, I got car together but one drum somebody machined part of groove off . I have not put oil in gear box yet,don't what to oil soak shoe's . drum's were basket case and first time bolting on vw. and yes any info would be great.

talked to one of my best Porsche customers, he said they did use a slinger.

Don't ever unbolt the wheels again, turn the drums with wheels torqued, and if you absolutley have to remove the wheels, sneek up on the torque in real small incriments.

hey john, so I don't warp drum, If so I can see happening, 1 of the original two that I got was bent so I could not turn linner ,but there was no damage,or point of impact. had me confused and pissed off , but thanks for heads up
