Not in a box
with a fox.
Not on a train
in the rain.
Not in a house
with a mouse.

HAHAHA! That's funny, John. I can't believe that you remember those. My old friend and current roommate Joe and I came up with those in the early '80s.

But while we're waiting for Dave to find his way onto this thread that we've pirated... I'll start us off:

Fabian (also used as Fabite) / basically any person(s) posing and/or trying to act cool.

Deek (a classic D.K.K. term widely used by just 'bout every member) / 'nother way of spelling dick, but with same meaning.

Rip Snort! / call of the day first heard (at least by me) from Vince and Mark Ito.

Spigot / Dave started this as a code word for a male's um... junk, shall we say. Needless to say, it caught on within the club.

Get Out & Push / this was and still is one of my faves... it's used with the year of the beater (car or pile of sh*t) Example: "Hey, Fred. Check out the smoke comin' outta the tailpipe of that '57 Get Out & Push in front of us."

There are many more... but I'm suffering from brainfade at this juncture. Besides, The Simpsons is on now. The only t.v. worth watchin'.

You're welcome for the compliments... it's a good lookin' car. Stoked that you're still drivin' it. As for that saying, above, I never said that. Perhaps your thinkin' of the term that I stole from McNew; "That car was t*ts."

That was your term, I stand corrected. I may have heard the other from Alan O'Heara. Does that one sound like him? I know I heard it from someone in our circles in that era.

Yeah, that sounds like something he would say. I'll have to ask him. Just talked to him, yesterday.

Phrases come & go, yet some of them seem to stand the test of time...............I WILL admit, after my first trip to Bristol with the NHRA, I feel compelled to work "fuck all ya'll" into a conversation as frequently as possible! 8)

Had some good friends move to Arkansas. When they came back for a visit they gave me a treatise on the difference between "y'all" and "all y'all"  :D

Don't you roll yer eyes at ME. I can still remember when Ramirez, you, and I were hangin' out somewhere. He looked at you up & down and said, "You look like an Afgan."

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Sheesh, the Sacramentians... man, that was too funny. Good thing I set my Negra Modelo down before reading your post. I've learned my lesson from the last time I sprayed my monitor.

No, thankfully, I have excellent luck with the 'puter part. It's the monitor that gets the abuse. After being on the 'Net since '94, I've learned to not get the keyboard wet. Took several keyboards... but I finally got it wired. HAHA!!
