Title: Carrillo rods
Post by: fish on February 19, 2008, 05:14:24 am
Hey guys and gals, just registered on this forum and this is my first post. I am trying to build an engine using Carrillo 5.7" rods without having to cut tin off this very clean 66 deluxe, any ideas?
It will be a street and strip maschine.

Buy pistons from JPM. I ran his pistons in my 2387 with 86 mm stroke and 5.7" Carrillos and it was narrower than stock.

That is the only way , you can get JE's down to 24 mm compression height . But only as a special order .

Thanks for the info guys, i need to check if they are VW or Chev journal. A mate of mine used them with 78mm crank to run in the 2L class.
I also found Super Squish pistons from ACNet that might work.
