It's a special production done in 1963/64 by Autohaus Pompano (Souteast Florida VW dealer). Modified suspension, brakes, engine, cosmetics. VTO stood for "Volkswagen Touring Optimum". It is said only 103 of them were built during this period. I have promotional information from the company back then. Looking for any info or, by a stroke of luck I am certain, an example to purchase. thanks for any help or pointers. Paul. |
