next week I´ll bring my original Empi 5 spokes to the painter and I´m still thinking about the color. I want to paint them in the mag grey color like Empi offered them. I attached one photo of kobus wheels (he says that their color is very similar like the original one) and one of El Dub´s GTV (don´t know if the color is original or similar to it). Is that mag grey color something like a unicolor like a dark grey for example or more a metallic color? Does anyone have any idea? I´d like to paint them as close to the original as possible. Seems 3 rims have original paint on the 67... Love the way the paint contrast with the polished lips... I had to repaint one and painter used metallic gray (with some shades of brown from what he said... still searching the brown but you know the paintjob guys...). I'm happy with the result after a little wet sand paper job to fade it... Looks very close... Do you want additional pictures? I was lucky and was able to use the sandblaster at one of my previous employers. Then, I had the outter lip refurbished, which included removing any gouges and scratches. Afterwards, they were polished. Added new caps and stickers and I was done.

I've always thought that the sandblasted spokes was the best looking way to run these wheels. To each their own. Does that wheel paint have a satin or gloss finish? I'm looking for a semi-gloss finish to re-do the Turbo wheels on my daily driver car. (edit) Nevermind... That bottom pic is cool... next time, try adding more water to that type of surface (or another one like it) and roll your car onto it. It would be even cooler to see that shot redone with a perfect mirror image reflection of your entire car.
