Post by: Black Sheep on March 21, 2008, 11:25:42 am
A little help here please guys , as I need opinions on this  ???  Im having a quick make over on the old 49 and have decided the porsche seats need to go , Im looking to replace them with some period looking high back's , Ive had a look around I quite like the Race trim seats but I think they are a bit too wide for a sedan , the ones Ive seen fitted i dont see how you can get to your hand brake  ::)

Any how Ive found these on a well know site  ::) and I kinda think they look OK not to new and a bit on the light side to  8)

Just fitted a race trim seat to my racecar. Nice looking seat but far to close to the hanbrake.

I thought that beard did a narrower seat in the same style.

Good luck
Peter

i have beards in mine, took all day to ensure that the seating position allowed access to the handbrake, the doors to close and mounted to original runners so it could move forwards and backwards.

Race trim do a normal and wide fit i believe. I must have the normal cause its tight even for me :P

Im only running one seat but i can imaginr it would be tight if i had both in trying to use the handbrake.
All in all a good seat for the money and fairly comfy too.

I totally agree with you Lee , got to be the most comfy seats available and right on the money , its just the size of the things . what else fits the bill in the price range and comfort stakes  ???
