Title: THE GOOD OLD CB PERF WEBER BOOK Post by: Jim Ratto on March 24, 2008, 17:14:50 pm Not sure if you guys have thumbed through the old CB Perf Weber Tech Manual, but it is a really reall good book, and not only for techno stuff, but there are some really golden-oldie photos and some good old stories in there too. Not only that, but Tomlinson pays homage to others in the field (not a "me me me me me.....I did that, I did this , I invented this"...publication) like Vittone, Lowry, Fleming, Berg...etc. I bought this book in the mid 90's just for the cool pics in it.... some of them include Dean Lowry and Darrel Vittone getting some NHRA trophy in 1966 from some hot 60's girl....lots of pics of DDS drag sedans.....vintage shot of staging lanes at Baylands Raceway....Rick Mears piloting Pikes Peak car....what looks to be a young, long haired Ron Fleming working on a DDS-campaigned drag rail... plus some neat Porsche pics.
Not only that but it's a good Weber book too. Typical Weber jeting charts and last few pages are dedicated to exploded views of popular Weber models, and running diagrams and jetting settings for particular cars (Ferrari 365GTB, Citroen SM V6, Porsche Carrera 6, etc...) I found that all the Tomlinson books are really useful and have great pics. Rob.
