Its most likely a bad wire or your rotor. t Title: Re: compu fire ignition Post by: pimp incher too on April 05, 2008, 11:00:23 am the rotor is new and the wires are from msd and works well.
when i turn the linkage full open then also come the feul 40-50cm out off my carbs? the engine is not yet dynotested/jetted,maybe that will bring a solution? this 2098cc engine is 74x95 and i maked everything light as possible. the counterweigtcranck weights the same as std 69 cranck,i used yamaha pistons,D-ported heads with alu-bronze valve seats. maybe the 95 cilinders is to big for the 74 cranck? the first times he run he did 9500rpm but then the valve spring broken, now i putted berg springs on it. the 9500rpm was also with another ignition, thats why i think it is the igntion. leslie Title: Re: compu fire ignition Post by: LGK on April 05, 2008, 11:38:32 am the rotor is new and the wires are from msd and works well. when i turn the linkage full open then also come the feul 40-50cm out off my carbs? the engine is not yet dynotested/jetted,maybe that will bring a solution? this 2098cc engine is 74x95 and i maked everything light as possible. the counterweigtcranck weights the same as std 69 cranck,i used yamaha pistons,D-ported heads with alu-bronze valve seats. maybe the 95 cilinders is to big for the 74 cranck? the first times he run he did 9500rpm but then the valve spring broken, now i putted berg springs on it. the 9500rpm was also with another ignition, thats why i think it is the igntion. leslie Les, You need some fine dynotuning, nothing wrong with a compufire.it's all in the jetting believe me. what shoud go wrong with the berg springs @8k? would they get broken? thanks, leslie Title: Re: compu fire ignition Post by: Jordy/DVK on April 18, 2008, 12:40:12 pm I like your "lightweight" approach. :) What barrels did you use with the Yamaha pistons? Did you use some Mahle barrels and open them up? Title: Re: compu fire ignition Post by: pimp incher too on April 18, 2008, 13:33:47 pm yes,i bored 8 cilinders from 94mm up to 95mm and i took the 4best.
i took another exaust and now the carburator don't push so much fuel out. the one on the movie is from a bike with katalysator in and it is to much pressure behind. now it runs better. |
