There really is no substitute for good old 205/70...preferably in some cool vintage style/look with white lettering.  8)

Are those Firestone F560 205/70-15 not available anymore? I thought the 205's could still be obtained.

I have had more problems with finding the 145's. I have heard that in the end of '06 another batch of these is gonna be  produced.
Don't know for sure though. I guess the only option is Michelin XZX 's or Nankangs for the front for a while.

Hey Fritte,

how about that:

Jürgen/DFL runs them on his Oval, not sure about the size.

Saludos,
Ole

Does anyone have any expirience with the Goodyear Eagle 205/70 tyres?
I'm currently shopping for new tyres and these seem to be a nice option.

For the front I think I will use the toyo or nankangs as the prices for 135 michelin's are 3 times higher.

If anyone knows an other option, please let me know...

A little comment about the Mickeys... I run M/T Indy Profiles on my 57. Be aware that these tires are bias plies that are made with 40 year old technology. They have actually been made in the same moulds since 1966.. Great for looks, at least on the right car, and ok for driving around town. But you don't wan't these tires on a car that is driven hard or fast and absolutely not on the dragstrip.
The same goes for other vintage performance tires like Firestone Wide Ovals and Goodyear Polyglas.

<---- But hey, you can't beat the look...   ;D
