Title: how to "restore" a berg shifter? Post by: wolfswest on April 01, 2008, 09:30:38 am Hi guys,
Unfortunatly my black paint of my t handle is beginning to peel of… I now have a Ene Berg shifter ::)… Anyone else who had this problem? I want to “restore/repaint” the handle but how do I do it? Painting is easy but what about the inscription? Or maybe polish it… Pictures of modified berg shifters are more then welcome so I can make up my mind. Second question, how do I remove the handle? Thx Dem Title: Re: how to "restore" a berg shifter? Post by: wolfswest on April 02, 2008, 08:00:19 am nobody? Looking for tips and tricks here :-\

Title: Re: how to "restore" a berg shifter? Post by: wolfswest on April 03, 2008, 15:25:48 pm I’ll have the newer version of shifter. The one that says gene berg in big capitol letters and the letters are not “on” the shifter but a little deeper, carfed…. You guys understand me… this is more difficult to peel the paint out of the letters…
Title: Re: how to "restore" a berg shifter? Post by: Neil Davies on April 09, 2008, 09:57:47 am I know the sort - I think they're powedercoated or painted before the name is machined into the top. You could get some of that liquid mask from a model shop and paint it into the writing, then repaint the handle. When you're done, peel out the liquid mask.
