Title: Sign writing my bug - should I do it? Post by: jamiep_jamiep on April 04, 2008, 10:33:43 am The bug needs a repaint and rather than tear it down now and miss the show season with it, I thought I'd have some fun and sign write it up, then tear down & repaint at the end of the year...
Here it is now: (http://www.volkstorque.co.uk/vt/imagehosting/94247b1620f644b8.jpg) And the proposed signwriting (apologies if this is someones car off here, it was just a random oval bug pic off the net): (http://www.volkstorque.co.uk/vt/imagehosting/94247f5f46020ec9.jpg) Opinions? Nuff said. got to agree with you there , if your car needs a overhaghl and you don't want to miss the show season why dont you try something old :) like weld the trim holes up and the wet block the whole car over in 1200 showing a bit of original paint and primer here and there 8), not only will it look fresh for this season but you could pass it off as a bit of a barn find look and your ready for paint come autumn Title: Re: Sign writing my bug - should I do it? Post by: christophe on April 05, 2008, 10:37:18 am .....I thought I'd have some fun and sign write it up...... It's your car. If you think it can be fun, just do it. You gonna paint it anyway. :) Title: Re: Sign writing my bug - should I do it? Post by: Sam K on April 05, 2008, 15:34:51 pm I say go for it. It would be cool to age the signwriting and make it into a "barn find old race car" thing.
