Title: Cars & Coffee in Irvine, So Cal Post by: Rennsurfer on April 07, 2008, 22:19:31 pm Quoted from Cal Look forum:
yes, if I can make it out, I will come on down from Simi in my '67, love to hang out with you guys and pore over the stuff I keep hearing about down there....Muiras, GTO's, Carrera 4-cams... etc. cool picture of your '67 Mark!!!! Looks perfect. Jim, that sounds totally cool. Dunno if you've ever been. But you wanna get there by 7am and get a good spot to park. Everyone usually bails at around 9am. Lots of great cars of all types. Here are some shots that I took from a few weeks back. Dave Mason's black car was there that day, as well. http://carsandcoffee.info/forum/showthread.php?t=488 (http://carsandcoffee.info/forum/showthread.php?t=488) I'm not a real big fan of every British car made, but I couldn't get enough of the green Aston Martin Zagato. WOW! What a car. Also, thanks for the compliments regarding my car, Jim. Worked on it for thirteen days/nights straight. Now, it's time to save up for the engine. Title: Re: Cars & Coffee in Irvine, So Cal Post by: Jim Ratto on April 07, 2008, 22:32:39 pm To be wealthy and into cars.... must be the life...
That Aston Zagato is gorgeous, bet it sounded good too. This past weekend, my wife and I made our pilgrimage up to Pismo, S.L.O. and Cambria. We usually take a ride up Hwy 1 to see the elephant seal colony just north of Hearst Castle. We did Saturday and while staring at the seals we hear this seires of howling downshifts, and into the gravel parking lot pull 4 F360's, 3 F430s and the big, brand new 599GTB.... all of them pieces of art. I'm going to try to make it this weekend Mark, I'll let you guys know by Thursday ;D Title: Re: Cars & Coffee in Irvine, So Cal Post by: Rennsurfer on April 07, 2008, 22:36:18 pm NICE! I know that you were from up north, but back when I was married up until the mid '90s, we'd always wait for summer to end then drive up the coast and stay in Pismo, Shell, and Cambria beaches. GOOD TIMES! Epic drives along with some good waves. Saw lots of big seals and elephant seals, too. My sons were really little back then, but they still remember the fun we had. I love the central coast.
Yeah, just post up if you're gonna head down for C&C. That would be cool to see a few people from The Lounge there. Title: Re: Cars & Coffee in Irvine, So Cal Post by: Tony M on April 07, 2008, 22:43:11 pm Just saw on tv a show about your coffee & cars - pretty cool - looked like a lot of very nice cars

Title: Re: Cars & Coffee in Irvine, So Cal Post by: Jim Ratto on April 11, 2008, 00:45:55 am at 6am? I guess 405 would be better?
Title: Re: Cars & Coffee in Irvine, So Cal Post by: Rick Meredith on April 11, 2008, 00:58:45 am Ok take the 405 south.
Get off and Irvine Center Drive and go left. Right on Alton Pkwy Left on Gateway. First driveway on the right is for spectators and second driveway on the right is where all the cool kids park. Rick Title: Re: Cars & Coffee in Irvine, So Cal Post by: Jim Ratto on April 11, 2008, 01:01:29 am so I go in the right driveway?

I just got some great news from the C&C people. I usually don't win things at any contest or raffle. Typically... no, always... that is reserved for my girlfriend. She's lucky at every raffle/contest type thing that she's attending. Today, it's finally my turn. I just opened my e-mail and turns out that I won two tickets to this place:
http://www.k1speed.com/ (http://www.k1speed.com/) STOKED! Can't wait to get out there and see what happens. Haven't driven go-karts since my boys were in grade school. Used to take them on their birthdays. Much thanks and appreciation goin' out to C&C for making my day. (edit) WOW! These people are just too cool... just found out that it also includes two drivers' licenses. [Borat's voice]Very niiice.[/Borat's voice] Title: Re: Cars & Coffee in Irvine, So Cal Post by: Rick Meredith on May 20, 2008, 02:10:58 am Wow... Title: Re: Cars & Coffee in Irvine, So Cal Post by: Rennsurfer on May 20, 2008, 03:01:20 am Yeah, that's just it... I never enter contests because I never win. And I'm okay w/that. But this was simply a random drawing. I think the only criteria was that the people/members had to have a minimum of twelve or twenty posts. I forgot. Anyhoo... pretty cool, nonetheless. I'm STOKED!

thanks ;D Title: Re: Cars & Coffee in Irvine, So Cal Post by: Rennsurfer on June 02, 2008, 06:40:46 am hey mark did you take some more pics of the M6? Sorry Nicolas... the only shot that I took of the M6 was the front one. The car looked like basic white. There was the other Bimmer that was kinda light beige or off white, but that's a 5 series with Italian or some other European front side lenses. That's the shot with the front Euro plate. If I see that white M6 next time, I'll gladly take some more detailed shots of it. Title: Re: Cars & Coffee in Irvine, So Cal Post by: nicolas on June 02, 2008, 11:32:41 am thanks. i really like M6's as they have a special look all of their own. the more i drive my dads car, the more i want one some day. but there are other BMW's that i like more, like a 2002tii,...
