Until recently my daily driver was a69 Fastback. But since it got totaled I have been driving Lukes 66 Fastback (Thanks Luke) and am looking for another VW to drive.

That pic was taken in Mazatlan Mexico, 2 days after a fresh respray. 15 years and 200+k were taking a toll on the paint, so I had it painted there. I tried to count, but can't remember how many times I've driven it deep into Mex (7-8 times?), each trip varies between 10k and 15k km. For you guys in Europe, it is the equivalent to driving from the northern tip of Norway to Gibraltar. and gas prices. current motor is a 1679 (69x88) and it's getting tried. It sees rain, snow and up over a 100 degrees in the summer months. It the 63 is down for what ever reason, I may drive the 56 or 67 to work. Sadly the salt in this part of the counrty dissolves old cars in short order. If I could spend the time and money on one, I'd try stripping a body and pan to bare, and having it galvanized.
I love qubek's car in winter mode. One of my favorite "non-cal" things is stock 2-tone wheels.
