Title: Bugtour 5 was a blast! Post by: wolfswest on April 20, 2008, 20:46:12 pm I want to thank everybody of the DVF team and the people that organised the bugtour today! It was a blast! Nice roads, good food, plenty food and a superB organisation.
Maybe we can put some pictures here. If this belongs in off topic, I'm sorry. Nicolas, Fabs, Sam, tim, Jelle and all the other guys I forgot, it was nice talking to you guys! Post by: Wünderwolff on April 22, 2008, 06:49:56 am We drove some 150 km (that's almost 100 miles :o) in three manches between breakfast, Apéro, BBQ and we closed it all off with Belgian Fries. We went from Antwerp to Ghent through the countryside over some of the nicest (roughest ???) roads we could offer. Remember Buitenland?
Of the 60+ cars I think more than half were pure cal-look although they might have longed for their off-roads sometimes. And out of the 60+ cars only one badly crashed into the field, missed a curve. But only some fenders bent. Oh and one had to replace a flat tire, nice job if no-one has a jack. Then 8 people lifting the car can come in handy. Keep on posting pictures Fabs, they are nice. If someone else has some post or link as well. And see you all at EBI where we'll try to outdo ourselves with a light-version of Bugtour. Ciao, Tim Title: Re: Bugtour 5 was a blast! Big thanks to the guys from DVF for organizing this great event! I'm getting tired of the same old static shows, it's good to see some nice cars in action while having fun behind the steering wheel. Respect to everyone that took there "show-worthy" cars and there "race-worthy" engines on this challenging drive over those long and dusty roads. I took the easy route and left the (not yet streetable ::)) 63 turbo at home, but that was a wise decision since I covered near to 400km in the "grandpa-look" notch. Finally got to see Nicolas' fastback and Wolfswest's cal-looker in real life; both very clean cars with lots of nice details! :) Great action shots, Speedwell!
