Taken from another forum The local Sheriff's department called the boss the other day. A landowner found a car in their pond last Saturday. If we help get it out and there is no foul play or stolen records on it, we can have it. They have owned the land since '70 and believe that the car must have been there before they bought the place. Today he got the call. They found nothing around the car to make it a crime scene and they are practice diving with it - come and get it. So when we get there they are messing with a new video system and we see a red Porsche 356 in the mucky bottom. A little while later, the divers come for cables and instructions on what to tie to. A few tries, and the car starts its ride to the edge. Things are not looking so good as it gets further out of the water. It started breaking up as it came up onto shore. We got it back to the yard and found that the car was a bit rough when it went in the drink. A bit of bondo was used to cover up the rockers and some accident work in the rear. Tomorrow we will start the search for a serial number. Anyone looking for a project?
