STAR WARS is another i've have
2 weeks ago i went to the star wars expo at tour & taxi in brussels http://www.tourtaxis.be/ (ftp://http://www.tourtaxis.be/)  that was  great exp whe you're a star wars fan
 but for me a good number of spaceships and characters were not exposed , but what matters that of pleasure to see these small-scale models of spaceships and buildings, plus some story board of film,  more some character were  quite alive such as stormstroopers, jedis and the lord of the dark side of the force : DARTH VADER
there's a little show for the boys & girls who want to be a padawan (little jedi) and they fight against darth vader
i don't know you but i stil have all my star wars toys , and the oldest  must be dated 1977 and several times we suggested me acquiring(buying back) them to me but not they have more a sentimental value for me than material
And you which  is your favorite character, me it's the bounty hunter  BOBA FETT, which pleasure to be able to detail him of loan, during the exposiion  :o :o

I think the best thing about star wars is still Natalie Portman.

Really wish I could have been there Fabs, remember being totally blown away by the early movies when i was a little kid. My favourite was always R2-D2.
I don´t care much for the later movies.

i don't where the expo go after bruxelles she stay to the 1st of june and after don' know ???

My friend Kenny and I had spent all day putting a Blaupunkt Manhattan head unit with a 120 watt Blaupunkt amp in my '67. At that time, that was about as much stereo as you could put in a car.

There was a Drive-In theater on Beach Blvd. south of the 22 Fwy. that was advertising that they had this new audio system that broadcast on FM frequencies using a clip that attached to the car antenna. We checked the paper and found that "Return of the Jedi" was playing there. So we filled a cooler full of beer, picked up a "Speedway Special" which was an extra large pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza and went to the drive in.

So we sat in the '67 with the Blaupunkt cranked up to eleven drinking beers, eating pizza, smoking joints and watching the movie. I remember vividly that every time a spacecraft would fly by on the screen, we could feel the whole car shaking from the sound!  ;D ;D ;D

There! I just went from Star Wars to Cal-Look!  ;)

yep, and no pics of here, so i am still biased on going...

I almost forgot to mention that I live VERY near where all the starwars films where made, and when I was ALOT younger we used to see Kenny Baker (R2D2) walking around the local area  :o :)

Oh yeah and 2 very good friends of mine worked as runners on "The New Hope" - one of them even "stole" some of the original Blueprints for the Sets ;) :)
