why did volkswagen produce vented decklids on there cabrio versions.i know its a great mod to all the cal lookers with hot motors to dissapate heat from the engine bay.was the reasoning to do with the hood when it was down and hanging over the back end of the car and interupting the flow of air to the vents? have i answered my own question there ::)

Take a look at the back of a Cabrio sometime... there are no vents to cover! That's why they put them in the engine lid. ;)

:P You get way to much fresh air to be wondering such thngs, lack of vents on cabrios called for the deck lid to have them instead.
