Thanks Donald :) Title: Re: 67 Vert Lids Post by: Shubee2 (DSK) on May 21, 2008, 22:32:54 pm Hi Donald the Easy way is to cut a vent section out of a 68 or later vert lid you section it in as one piece not two vents I will post some pictures http://www.sandiegovwparts.com/gallery.htm you drill the spot welds out along the top edge and then cut along the line lay the new vent section over the 67 deck lid mark where it needs to be cut and go for it. an easy way to line it up is the top hole for the Volkswagen emblem make sure the emblem fits in all three holes the top hole will be the new section the bottom and middle holes will be the Original 67 Deck Lid here is a Picture of a 3 Vent Deck Lid I built for my 67

Title: Re: 67 Vert Lids Post by: Neil Davies on May 22, 2008, 12:15:40 pm Donald, I seem to remember hearing that the Karmann vents are 5mm longer than the '68-on vents, although the position is close enough. I know it's not an issue unless you're going for chrome trims on the decklid vents, but worth mentioning all the same! :D
