Title: Rear Seat Area Pictures
Post by: cal-look.net on May 23, 2008, 15:43:14 pm
I am seriously considering soundproofing my bug, it really is doing my head in!

I am thinking dynamat extreme (or equivalent) and some kind of sound proof liner on top. Then carpet!

Does anyone have any pictures of interiors carpeted without rear seats?

Not sure whether to carpet up to the rear window and the arches, or leave the top section and arches painted for looks - but I guess this would limit the sound deadening/proofing effect!

Also how much difference would giving the tunnel the same treatment have?

Here's mine as it stands :

Cheers all!

it depends on a standard  like mine  just to the red panel ,ans if it's a deluxe the headliner goes on the blue panel
on the pictures it's my interior (standard )

When crusing at 50 mph you have to shout at your passenger!!!  :o

I have a noise meter, I was actually going to do some tests before and after.

I do have a solid mounted box, and my fuel pump makes a racket too.

Travellling long distances really gets to me, even with ear plugs, and I don't like ear plugs, it is like being under water! very strange.

I guess I am just getting older ;)
