Title: Shaving the turn signals
Post by: louisb on June 08, 2008, 00:47:41 am
Spent some time practicing shaving the turn signals on a spare German '65 fender I had in prep for doing the same on my '67 fenders. They should not need any filler but I do need to finish up with some hammer and dolly work.

Filling the stud holes:

First hole gone. (Sorry for the lousy pic.)

Tacking in the filler for the big hole:

Finishing up. It is good enough now to prime with high build primer, no bondo needed. But I will work it a little more. (Just ran out of juice for today.)

I have been practicing this stuff for a couple of weeks and I have to say I have much more respect for people who do this for a living. Damn hard work.
