Title: CNC master cylinder and residual pressure valve
Post by: jr59 on June 24, 2008, 09:19:32 am
Hi,
Well i just received the new CNC  master cylinder and the residual pressure valve.
I have 4 disck on the car now  (wilwood rear and jay cee front)so the question is:
Where do I screw the residual pressure valve: directly on the master cylinder to use it for both front and rear or do I only need it routing to the rear brakes??
hop someone would answer asap as I wait the answer prior to screw it anyway!!
thanks for the advice
cheer

Jr,

You need 2 of those valves, one on the master cyl. and the other one on the staging brake...on the master you put the valve there were you want to use the staging brake...front wheels or rear wheels...simple.

OK but I only have one actually and I can't wait for the second one so I will screw it on the stage brake first!
thanks ;)

You need two... If you only have one, forget the staging brake as you can pump the lever to bring the pads closer to the disc. Use it in the front brake line between master cylinder and line-lock. If you don't have a line-lock, you will need one for each front brake line or if you have one outlet from the M/C, then use a valve between the M/C and the T-piece.
