Title: 250 hp pump gas street engine Post by: Roman on October 30, 2006, 18:11:54 pm Only the best of the best.
Scat 86 mm crank, all type 4 mains. Carillo 5.7" rods JPM super light 94mm pistons with rised pins. Cima barrels, stress honed. FK-89 cam Schubeck ceramic lifters CE cam gear CB case with lots of modifications Kennedy stage2 clutch with Daikin super disc. EMPI 4 quart sump. Custom made 1 7/8" A1 ceramic coated exhaust with 3" fully polished muffler and ceramic coated stinger with reverse taper cone. All the parts above has been used for about 25 runs on the strip and 500 km on the street and has just been run in. I have disassembled the engine and inspected every part and it is equal to new. I will assemble them with brand new JPM heads and rockers. The enine is narrower than stock so it will fit a stock engine compartment on a 50's bug. 250 hp is no BS, you who were at the Dyno day saw Niklas engine pulling 247 hp with muffler and fan belt without any rejetting after a full season of street and strip driving. Price: 80 000 SEK or Complete with Berg 52 mm carbs and ignition, turn key engine: 100 000 SEK This combo can get your car in the very low 11's or high 10's depending on car weight and still fully streetable. Swverker is right, I want to go 4" bore and I think it is a waste to part out such nice engine so I am offering it with JPM heads. I haven't decided 100% yet, so I might keep it and run it like described above. Title: Re: 250 hp pump gas street engine Post by: Roman on November 01, 2006, 21:28:14 pm No, I think I will go for the CB case again. They have several on stock without any head stud pattern.
The amount of machining scares me. JPM is working on a stock mag case with alumec plates for his own engine. Fredde is going to do one more oxy case for me (86x101.6), I think that with his expertis of doing the convert from water to air you will have a superior case if you go oxy. Remember that it's OEM VW and not cheep latino... ;) |
