Title: '67/'68 Z-Bar - Good or bad? Post by: Sam K on July 03, 2008, 15:19:26 pm The other day, a friend told me that VW would remove the Z-bar from customers cars back in the day under a factory recall. I still have the Z-bar on my '67 and I added another pair of "snubbers" to it a couple years ago to make it work "more". I'm contemplating removing it entirely now, though. Any opnions?

I don't believe that, because VW kept installing the Z-bar right to the end of production in 2003.Title: Re: '67/'68 Z-Bar - Good or bad? Post by: Shubee2 (DSK) on July 03, 2008, 16:43:30 pm I took my Z Bar off my 67 and also changed the torsion bars, I installed early model 61 to 66 Bars they are stiffer then sagging 67 Bars and ride and handle better it seems that VW softened up the rear in 67's always seem to be sagging in the rear.
