Title: Chassis Dyno at dragday
Post by: Udo on July 22, 2008, 12:01:46 pm
We confimed this last weekend , we have a Dyno at bitburg for testing hp and AFR . You can get an Diagraph of both . This is a very good dyno with no slip on the tires , i tested it some weeks ago with our black 67 and in 2 week i try my racecar on it . If you plan to do a pull i would recommend to do this with street tires , may be it is better .

I try to get a good price for all that want to use the dyno . Max. would be 50 euros but i think he can make it cheaper because i think there will be some who want to see how much power they have and see if the engine runs rich or lean

The dyno works very well with short gear ratios . Before we only had dynos where i did not get any traction . This is perfect , only strap the car and messure . I only had 265 hp @ 8000 rpm and 280 nm torque  :( . But i am working on it ... and i must say this dyno shows the real hp  not more than some others do .

Cool!
Will the operator have a separte fan that I can put onto my (rear placed) intercooler?

'Only' 265 hp?  :o  ;D

Thanks,
Walter

Is that corrected HP or at the tires? At the tires would be quite high for N.A. type 1.

No it is the engine power . I changed some thinks and will see how it goes this weekend or the weekend after at Drachten ! But it looks good so far . I had a Type 4 engine with injection today with 250 hp and the tune up worked very well . this is the best dyno i ever worked with  :)
