Title: Fan Shrouds Post by: rebel on August 04, 2008, 21:58:59 pm My friends an me are using aftermarket fan shrouds.
What are your expiriences in the subject in comparison with the stock doghouse one? I'm using a Scat shroud. We have noticed problems with matching the engine tin to the shroud and in consequence heat problems. The aftermarket ones are very stylish, but I have in mind Gene Berg words, that nothing would replace the good, stock cooling... What is the opinion of The Lounge? Title: Re: Fan Shrouds Post by: ian c on August 04, 2008, 22:01:24 pm omg !!!
you just mentioned gene berg in a thread about cooling ....... i expect jake raby to respond very soon ;) Title: Re: Fan Shrouds Post by: Sam K on August 05, 2008, 04:37:52 am I'm a big fan of Thing shrouds. I like the fit better and I prefer to run the flaps in it. Plus the aftermarket shrouds are razor sharp on the back edges!

I've got the scars to prove that. ;DTitle: Re: Fan Shrouds Post by: Hotrodvw on August 05, 2008, 05:30:53 am I run the Scat DH 36hp shroud, and it seems to work fine, but I don't have a cyl head temp gauge on it either. Maybe I'm in denial. :o
