Don't disrespect the Coral.  Gray sunroof cover would work.

you almost need to pick the sunroof color then get a color that contrast's with it  I Like Coral Red But there are to many others already Plus I have alot of  Machine turned Stainless made for the Car also might paint the wheels a contrasting color

I like it Shubee! I'd stick with the Coral red - I can't remember seeing a Coral car de-chromed, but I bet it would look good! Most seem to go for the stock trim and bumpers.

love the dash! what are you putting in the hole?

how did you cut the headlining clips off..?
as that is what i'm doing to mine.

on the b posts, there is 2 layers of metal held on with spot welds?

and the c post clips look really complicated!

Dash Insert will be Machine Turned Stainless With 8 NOS VDO Cockpit Black faced Steel Cased Gauges all dated 1971 as far as the clips Go they are a Bitch to get off the c pillar are welded thu two layers of metal the B Pillar I ground the back side down to get them thin then broke them off the ground the metal flat over the door I drilled the spot welds out I went threw on one and had to weld the hole up be carefull early years have the wire loom up there dont want to drill a hole in it or melt it welding a hole. PM me if you need more info on the clips I had to reweld a few of the panels because of the crappy VW welds they were covered by the headliner before but would look bad if you dont fix them also the lower B pillar has to be rewelded I drilled holes every inch and plug weded them the ground the factory crappy looking welds off..  The Hardest thing for me was getting the grab handle brackets off in the rear they have 8 spot welds each I drilled  8  5/16 holes in the spot welds almost all the way threw and it still tore threw I had to weld them up

The Pans are Sprayed with 3M Rocker Schultz they use it on Porsche,BMW,and others for the rockers and under the front Bumper it is a Paintable chip Proof Coating it looks similar to 3M Undercoat but the paint dose not soak in to it the pan is painted with GM Chassis Paint it is made for frames and bare steel

Are you going to use lead to fill the low spots on the door openings? A bodyman once told me he never uses Bondo on the edge of a door or door jamb. What are your plans? I have this HUGE Snap-On soldering iron that will lay down about a 1/4" at a time, let me know and I'll loan it to you or give you the part number. Filled some pinholes in my roof once, much more control than a torch.
