Thats 950 000 Norwegian kroner.. Ok, I had little look around to compare and I found 3 R8 for sale in Norway. Here is one;
http://www.finn.no/finn/car/object?finnkode=12191532&sid=xz9sfam2h3b464855&WT.svl=Bilde Look at the price; 2 039 000 Norwegian krones! And it is a used car! I then used the import calculator from the customs in Norway and punched the numbers; Engangsavgiften for dette kjøretøyet blir som følger: Avgift for egenvekt: 103 537,90 Avgift for motoreffekt: 529 243,20 Avgift for slagvolum: 252 084,00 Engangsavgift for tilsvarende nytt kjøretøy: 884 865,10 Bruksfradrag (0%): 0,00 Vrakpantavgift: 1 300,00 Totalt 886 165,00 MVA: 252 030,00 Engangsavgift + MVA: 1 138 195,00 That 1 138 195 Norwegian krones in taxes + the cost of the car 950 000 Norwegian krones... + of course the freight, insurance etc etc. In other words, if I went to Sarge and bought the R8 it will cost me approx 429 057 USD before I can turn the key and have fun Best rgs BB Title: Re: Audi R8 Post by: LuftsickTero on August 29, 2008, 09:52:06 am Funny that you also took a picture of the price tag; 186 000 USD. If that would happen in LA, it just means than he picked a quicker queue than you... :P Title: Re: Audi R8 Post by: Sarge on August 29, 2008, 14:17:05 pm You guys! ::) ;D The interesting thing about the one we have in the showroom is that we are a VW / Audi (under one roof) dealership. Audi will not even let us have an R8 unless we are a stand-alone Audi dealership (which will happen some time in 2009 when the franchise splits and moves across the street). A customer who knows our owner bought the white car for what we believe to be around $130,000 from another dealership and sold it to us to put on the showroom for a "slight" mark-up. How's that? :o ??? ::)

Do you suppose the R8 race engine specs were more impressive than the 917/30 with over 1200hp available? These motors were built 35 years apart, be cool to see dyno specs for both. Title: Re: Audi R8 Post by: mg on September 02, 2008, 01:47:54 am Nice, just needs some DTM dive planes around the wheel arches. 8)
