Title: vintage decals
Post by: wolfswest on August 29, 2008, 14:27:43 pm
Hi,

I'm a bit of a vintage decal / sticker pervert...  I want to search more decals in this style: the blinking colour changing background is what attracts me...

I don't know what the english word for this is + are there companies who still can make this sort of decals?  So I can desing something myself.

If you have stuff like this around, and you want to get rid of it, contact me.  ;)

Seems like that style used to be called Alpha Jewell.  The only one I have is plastered on the heater out in the garage with a few others.

In the '70s, we'd call it either rainbow tape or space tape. We had those plastered all over our skateboards, surfboards, and bmx bikes. I had a small one (forget which company) on the back of my orange '66, back then. Not many people use them anymore. But they DO pop up every now & then.
