Title: Do you baby your engines during the first miles?
Post by: alex d on September 05, 2008, 10:33:13 am
let's say I have a friend, who has a fresh engine with just 100km and I, er...he just had to pass that BMW, so the speedo needle went off the scale  :P

do you favor conservative break-ins or you prefer to step on it ("if it's gonna break it will break anyway")

Step on it! Find a steep hill and drive it like you stole it.

don't worry I have stomped on it plenty  ;D but now I have a plugged idle jet, so it seems I'll have to take carbs off....the joys of IDFs and tall manifolds  >:(
