OH MY GOD  :o :o :o I have never seen so many pic's of this awsome buggy I also never knew that it was rear engined to begin with, Someone must have some more info - PLEASE  ;D

Like I mention in the other thread I have always dreamed of moulding a new Manx body with that colour scheme in Metalflake - it wouldn't be that hard to do it would just take some time - me and Rob have already worked it out but I always wondered how many people would "Get it" if you know what I mean  :)

By looking decently at photos I have just seen that the engine had risen in central position (to see the photo and that the rollcage was white more at first sight it was an assembly for runs and on photos taken in the sand the engine is in back position and either power plant, (to see the photo seen back of the buggy) and rollcage is black???About ' one knows why this change??? Dean have you an idea you which attended the bug in???

sure it is a cool buggy but i agree with the idea tht few people could get a replica....
they seem to be just caught by the idea to put mirrors under cars rather then studying history and trying to learn.....

The reason for the changes were that it was originally built for the sand drags, then it was modified for the "asphalt" drag strip.
Look at the rear tires in the pictures and you'll see.
I believe Bruce Meyers still owns it.
Amazingly enough, the driver that won Top Eliminator at Bug-in 1  driving the Purple Potato Chip
was also the same guy who won Top Eliminator at Bug-In 32 !
His name is Bud Whitfield !
I was there that day to watch.
