Title: 205/70
Post by: roland on September 29, 2008, 19:59:20 pm
So my good old BF Goodrich Touring TA 205/70-15 are getting a little tired. They were on the car when i got it almost 10 years ago and they weren't new back then...

Still pretty grippy for old tires but i don't think the burnout/quarter mile thing are going to help them keep their shape for another 10 years...

So i need new old tires. I was thinking about dot slicks for a sec, but then I live in a rainy country and i've heard they pretty much suck on the road (compared to regular tires) and on the track (compared to full slicks...)

Something 205/70, firestone, BF, what you got...

Why do you want second hand tires? I run old tires for a while (Michelin XZX) and never feel really safe for long trip. And as you plan to use and abuse it, it will be safer to have new tires.

Goodyear make a nice thread in 205/70 GA model or Semperit top life. And that's not winter tires or light trucks/SUV tires.  ;)

Hey Roland

I would get new Goodyear eagles, they look good and can still be ordered at a fair price.
Around 200€ a pair I think...
