Title: purchase opportunity...should I do it? Post by: bugnut68 on September 30, 2008, 05:40:55 am http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220287910819
Apparently, the winning bidder fell through, so as the next higher bidder I've got a second chance to buy it, but was just checking around to see what other folks thought... opinions, thoughts, etc? I realize the crank is cast, but I wasn't thinking in terms building a super abusive machine or anything like that. Any general thoughts on this package deal would be greatly appreciated... Late SA Bugs had cast cranks.Title: Re: purchase opportunity...should I do it? Post by: Diederick/DVK on September 30, 2008, 11:53:14 am but they didn't have FK89 cams :D
the crank ruins the deal and makes you wonder how many more surprises you'll find... Title: Re: purchase opportunity...should I do it? Post by: alex d on September 30, 2008, 12:55:40 pm New 2 piece Eaton lifters, I thought they were long gone!
700$ for all those parts does not look too expensive to me, if they are all new of course, and you can always sell the crank in ebay ;) Title: Re: purchase opportunity...should I do it? Post by: Sam K on September 30, 2008, 13:57:53 pm I was watching that engine on ebay, but I decided to pass on it because of the cast cranck like everyone else.

Title: Re: purchase opportunity...should I do it? Post by: bugnut68 on September 30, 2008, 16:48:26 pm In all honesty I had no intention running that cam with that crank. I think I will pass on it, as I'm not really in a financial standing to buy this package deal anywa...
