Man I wish somebody had told me that at the time I was having my issue. I had a set of OG Fuchs, 2.0 liter alloys, needed polishing and/or paint detail, whichever way I wanted to go, picked 'em up for $50. One wheel had a bit of curb damage, but the others were fine. Ended up getting rid of them because I refused to grind on the bottom ball joint; had I known I could machine in the ball joints deeper or else machine the backs of the wheels, I never would have let them go.
