I always wondered why on earth speedwell put their cooler there too - plus if you work it out the original cool inside the fanhousing probably has more surface area than that crappy piece of kit  :-\ :)

The cooler it self wasent too bad, worked pretty well, but just a bad place to mount them. The things we did back them seemed ok, but now looking back, what the f---- were they thinging about  :o Even on my dads old class 1 car, that is how the cooler was mounted. Even though we never lost a motor from it, it looks like we should have.

here's an orginal speedwell oil cooler the one who go inside the fan shroud
(http://www.amayesing.com/images/vwparts/speedwelloilcooler.jpg)

but if you look closely speedwell removed the oil cooler in the fan shroud
Already kept silent to remove a fan housing when the original cooler  is the mainspring which is him always in its compartment, I am there never to arrive because you prop up against support of the decklid, of or I deduct that from it to speedwel to put the fanhousing  there was no cooler in the fan

Hey dude - not really sure what you are getting at  :-\ The problem I see is that you will sucking hot air from the cooler and sending it over the engine - not a good idea  :-\ :)

Reevco used a more flat type cooler, as like a auto trans type that mounted out side of the car

At least the Speedwell kit used a proper cooler, not that "plate" POS.

hahaha I forgot about Mick... he came back to work there for a few months, in maybe 1992 or so?

I think at one time I had every one of my friends working there. Sheep, Billy, Mike Gillaspie, SODA, plus made new friends thru that place.
Like Big Frank and Javier, Steve (lobo) C., Al (RIP), Steve the Cop

Oreos?

Sheep liked exhaust flange gasket-cheeseburgers.

4-eyed Mark liked Dr Pepper with Fleet liquid enema added... a good couple of shots.
of course he'd spend the rest of the day in that bathroom wishing he never drank it.....  ::)
