I lived in that hell hole from '64-'71 and was SO happy when we left. Moved to this house (8 miles from the beach) and have been happy, ever since. Way nicer weather, here.

I think the only green trees I saw out there was in Sarge's back yard. Everything else was brown. Too many people crammed into too little space. Maybe near the coast is better, but for now I will just fly out for the occasional visit.

But in So Cal's defense, our last two winters were very dry and hardly any rain. But the coast is much better in the way of weather, more tolerable temps, and decent air quality. Things tend to stay more green, as well. The bummer is... the closer you are to the coast, the more expensive it is. Title: Re: remind me: WHY did I move to Southern Calif?
