All the Finlands fastest aircooled VW:s are testing there, where are the Swedish, Norwegian and others...?
  A very good test day for all kind of VW:s etc, street or racecars.  No trackbite on the track, so the time you can get here, you can get  anywhere.

After the garage-tours we´ll head up to the Dynoday and continue to VW-Open and the Kiikala Airfield-track

We´ll sleep at the tracks flight control tower and have some tarbooze and sauna.

Just to let you know, Arabia Slugs are having the traditional Dyno Day (http://www.volkkaripalsta.com/keskustelu/viewtopic.php?t=11276&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=120) on friday 22.05, just 50km form Kiikala Airfield. Then on sunday 24.05 there's Urhon Ajot (http://www.volkkaripalsta.com/keskustelu/viewtopic.php?t=24914), 6hr endurance race for aircooled vw- based cars at Ahvenisto race track. So book your flights/ ferries so that you can attend them all!

Hell Yeah! That´s the way to do it! We have to fire up our saunas and go to the liquer-store (or maybe do some moonshine ;D)!

I have to make my apologies in advance guys, as I am no longer able to come to the show. I will be collecting my racecar from the paintshop on the same weekend and need to get really stuck into building it up so that I can race this summer. I wish you all a fantastic time and hope that some seriously quick times are run and some of that crazy moonshine stuff gets consumed :o

I was at the SCC stand most of the time I can´t really remember much ET´s but we had a wonderful time the whole weekend! Pictures to come...  :o ;D

BIG thanks to Tomi, Jaakko and Jussi for taking care of us at our visit to Finland and VW Open.  ;D
Thanks to Tomasz for picking me up at the airport, and to Jyrki for the ride at friday.

We had a great time at VW Open on Saturday and at Urhon Ajot on Sunday. And in between...lots of food and drinks together with our Finnish friends   :)

I hope for next year that more of you loungers take this trip to Finland. It`s worth it!!
And I hope to see many of our Finnish friends at SCC this year ;)

No - actually hole in 4th  :) But the guy was still smiling and happy that he managed a trip down the strip. That is Finnish SISU for everyone!

KITOS to everyone for making this weekend one of the best VWweekends ever!

- Tomi and Jakko, you make it hard for me to leave Finland. Truly amazing that you take time off to take care of a bunch of visitors and always with a smile.
- Kotten, congrats!! It was a special moment to see you and your Hitler Revenge on the strip again. Better looking than ever before! I can`t wait to see it running down the SCC strip in August.
- Jussi and Pekka, thanks for allowing us to drive down the strip with the bus and thank you for the fastest T2 award. Thank you also for yet another great event and I hope to see you both at SCC.
- Heikki, it was good to finally meet you and to see you go down the strip again in a safe way. Congrats with the new car and the fastest aircooled award. Surely you will go a lot faster in the future.
- Slugs... I`m out of words... You guys make sure everyone is having a blast. Always a warm BBQ ready, always a cold beer in the hand and always a laugh in reserve. Only thing missing is a car or two down the strip but I`m sure you will them ready before SCC
- Aleksi.. your not a gracious sprinter but you know how to make man laugh. Thanks! The CD is a classic.
- DWL boys; great meeting all of you! I hope you did well at Urhon Ajot and won the race.

Great car and great engine. It will be really interesting to see how far you will manage to push your car. You say you will get some licence plates on it, do you think you have to put a muffler on it to get it licenced?

Thank you Kalle for your kind words.  What do you think abaut the muffler issue? I myself thought the sound was quite easy on the ears, but all the birds seem to have disappeared from our garage. Some were found dead under the trees after breaking-in the camshaft.  :P

Just kidding, I will make it bark just nice and quiet.
