Then keep your comments to your selves,

Nope, will not do that. It's called free speech. Besides, you don't want a perfect utopia where everyone pats each other on their backs and tells 'em that everything is rosy, yes? Forgive me, but this is a Cal Look discussion forum. Plain & simple.

Everybody works hard on there cars

True, unless you're referring to non Cal Look or stock VWS. 'Cause if people are working hard to "slam", gaytina, or rat out their cars... there's something horribly wrong in the universe.

how many cars have you seen in a car show  and thought to yourself "man, that guy really fucked that car up", about 80% i'm guessing. but you wouldn't say it out loud because the guy who just finished his "dream car" might hear you and beat your ass. you guys hiding behind your screen names talking shit on another guys car are nothing but a bunch of douche bag pussies driving your beat down cars, all jealous because this guy actually finished a car. something most of you will never come close to, just because you dont like it, doesn't mean somebody else wouldn't. like my buddy brent always says " there's an ass for every seat". some people dont want to build a car just like yours or what you like and want to try something different, sometimes it works, sometimes it dont, but every resto, stock or highly modified takes a TON of work and a lot of hours planning and doing the actual work. shut your fucking mouths and go finish your car, BITCHES

Wow... talk about hiding behind a screenname.   ;D  What's your name, and why are you taking such offense?  No offense intended, but you're only adding fuel to the fire, here, buddy.  I agree with your ideas, but not your delivery.  It's kind of ironic that you're so critical of people's opinions on another guy's car, but in the same breath you'll mudsling in a manner I'm guessing you'd NEVER deliver in person.

No car or thread is worth this kind of anger... except POS Hoodrides.  ;D

P.S. Edited later: forgot to mention my name is Ryan Bonham, and my comment about Hoodrides is mostly in jest.  Mostly.

HAHA!! You're telling ME to "Ez" and that is truly funny. Why? Simply put... I've sensed that ever since you signed up for this forum, you've been in full throttle troll mode and it appears that you're trolling for some sort of anger or fishing for something. Dunno what it is... don't care. But read the posts/replies on this thread. By the by, what is this "slame" crime that I'm being charged for? Also, the proper plural arrangement of punctuation for possessive usage of the word people would be: peoples'.

For future reference, you're strongly urged to keep non-constructive discussions and/or flame posts in the Off Topic forum and leave this Cal Look forum to discussing the reason that we're all here. Cal Lookers... whether they're ours or otherwise. Better yet, if you have a problem with me, there's a really useful feature and it's a Private Message. Deeper still, shoot me an e-mail if that that doesn't float your boat. That way, we save the remainder of everyone the unneeded drama theatrics, such as it were.

Oh and... dig?

 ;D

Have a gosh darned nice day, too.

Steady, Ryan. I posted that piece about the shifter. I actually like it and feel that it is important for our scene to embrace new ideas, new technology. Ridicule it? Only if it served no function whatsoever. From my point of view, there is a need for a a new shifter in the marketplace. I'm not overly impressed with the current crop, especially those designed for a five-speed, so something new is very welcome in my opinion.

If you really want hard core slammin', go to the off-topic section of the UAC site. Now that's scary!  ;D  (No offence Brian...!)

I think the deal is that a few things (shifter and yellow car) got posted here, and they got ripped apart because honestly, both don't fit into the VERY narrow minded hobby that is cal look VW's. The yellow car is a far cry from what most come to expect to see on a "cal look" website....everybody wants to see cars dumped in front running BRMs and no bumpers, no chrome, big cc IDA motor. Me included. The shifter is a big step away from trends of past and present, it's pretty obvious that it is going to ignite some opinion.

You guys are too funny and although I am all for speaking ones mind, I can't help but sense a little narcissism which is kinda good to let out once in a while.

This then being a Cal Look forum that has been specifically set up by a group of selfless people in order to provide aspiring and actual owners of Cal Look Cars and guests alike, the portal to discuss their interest and passion, some of you girls need to take the panties out of your a$$ and get on with it.

Thing that most of you are forgetting is that "PERFECT" doesn't exist in reality and should be DELETED.

Peace through discussion.

This is a very good subject for discussion. As picky as I am everyone who knows me I have never owned or will I have have a perfect car. Even the most expensive cars at Barrett Jackson are not perfect I could tell you some of the cars that I have looked at very close for the price they were asking and could not believe paint, panel fits, body work that I have seen on those cars. Even the brand new Rolls Royce ,Mercedes ,Ferrari have issues. I can go back and mentioned a few cars that I have judged in the past DKP as such and those cars impressed me more than Barrett Jackson auction cars. I have worked for To#¤ta for the last 31 years and to this day I see issues with To#¤tas and Lexus included probably because I am so anal and critical to find a perfect car my 2 cents.

I certainly understand where you're coming from, Randy, and this subject is kind of something that pervades the entire internet.  The Samba is a site that I try to post on as little as possible anymore, due to some of the 'internet personnas' that exist there.  I say 'internet personnas' because I've never met some of the people on there, whereas I have met a number of the folks that hang out here and on the Cal Look Forum, and they're all great people.

I definitely know where you're coming from, and the trick I guess is to try to not take internet posts and website stuff too seriously.  I know I've fallen into that trap too many times, and it ain't worth it.
