since i installed a new gearbox about two and a half years ago my car never really shifted perfectly.
what first happened was that when i shifted two 2nd with a little force the gear would sometimes get in reverse. a loud noise came up and after quickly clutching and carefully shifting i could get it in 2nd.

since then i shift carefully and the driving was never affected. but still my shifting is sloppy, even when in gear the shifter(gene berg) can be moved in some space.
while driving, before shifting to 3rd and 4th, and making some revs some shaking noise seems to come up in the tunnel and stops after the change of gear.

would the problem be in the shifting rod(is this the right name?) or something related?

Have you replaced the shifter bushing under the shifter?  Is there slop in your shift rod coupler under the back seat?

i didn't replace anything yet..
i don't really know what the shifter bushing is, but i'll have a look at both the points you said.

when you installed yuor ber shifter, you may have not mounted the shift plate correctly
back to front
or
out of position

I would also look at the shift coupler (under the rear seat). I've replaced plenty of those before. I've even had a couple new aftermarket ones that weren't bult well cause problems.

the shifter has been installed correctly.
i'm guessing we need to replace the shifter bushing and shifter coupler.

so, what's best? urethane or stock?

Then your shifter bushing is worn out.
