Title: My favourite race car of all time... Blackie!
Post by: Fastbrit on November 11, 2008, 16:26:31 pm
More long lost transparencies – these from 1990 when I went to stay with Dave & Judy Kawell.
As a treat, they dug Blackie out of semi-retirement and took her down to Memphis Raceway...

I think it is now a home for wayward raccoons.  ;D

But yes, they still have it in their shop.

If you are talking doorslammer - Eric has the quickest and fastest car in history.

When does a car qualify as a doorslammer? 8)

If the doors open and shut!! So basically not a funny car or dragster etc

Apparently a buggy counts too! As long as it's not a central driving position, it's ok!

The car still is sitting in their shop, looks like its still ready to go back to the track. I sat in the car when I was there to dyno my engine, very cool ride. The Kawells are fantastic and very honest down to earth people. I even got to pet the racoons, I am proud to call them friends,               Mike McCarthy
